BARBARA FARRIS SNELL RN, BSN, LMHC
CEO
Barbara offers years of real life clinical experience, in her nursing practice and health care leadership to Northwest Nursing Consultants team. Graduating with her undergraduate degree in Nursing and Business from University of Portland, she completed her Master’s degree in Psychology at Antioch University, and has additional post graduate training in Medical Legal Studies. For the last 30 years, Barbara has been practicing as a Registered Nurse, specializing in geriatric/end of life, psychology and emergency medicine. She is genuine, hard working and passionate about providing the highest quality work in all she does. Her other accomplishments include being a nationally recognized speaker and clinician for her work in the ALS Association, a member of their Medical Advisory Board, co-author of a booklet on end of life care and honored recipient of the coveted Moyer Foundation grant for her programs working with families at end of life. During her hours outside of nursing, Barbara is a former competitive sail boat racer, plays tennis and is learning (oh so painfully slowly) golf. Barbara’s precise personality, wickedly funny sense of humor and easy laugh (especially at herself), brings a joy to the team and others all around her.
